Based in Rians since the very beginning, in the Cher department, our dairy brand draws its inspiration and its quality from the heart of the Berry. This terroir, rich in French culture, shapes our family know-how every day, as well as our passion for food that is simple andhigh-quality. Rians: a typically French village, the birthplace of our story
It’s in Rians, a small village of 900 residents nestled in the heart of the Berry, that our family adventure begins. Here, the countryside stretches as far as the eye can see. Rians is above all a village spirit, where respect for traditions and closeness shape everyday life. Its Saint Christophe Church, proudly standing on the central square, reflects the residents’ attachment to their heritage and their history. It dates back to the 12th century, and from that era the Romanesque-style nave has been preserved. The choir, which has more of a Gothic look, was rebuilt in the 14th century. Later, the roof frame was redone in the 16th century, the bell tower added in the 18th century, and finally the spire of the latter reworked in the 20th century.
Bourges: a city steeped in history, lively and welcoming
About thirty kilometres from Rians, Bourges stands out as the historic capital of the Berry. Known for its majestic Saint-Étienne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bourges is a human-scale city where it’s a pleasure to stroll. Its medieval lanes, half-timbered houses, and many gardens invite discovery and relaxation.
